Beginning this week, I am going to have a new regular feature called, Tip of the Day. I will offer approximately three short Tip of the Day posts in addition to my regular stuff. The tips may be serious or fun, or both. Here is the first one:
Tip of the Day #1:
Tell people what you want. Many of us are not clear about what we want people to do or our desired outcomes. I am not suggesting that you become bossy or directive. If you have a request, goal, wish, intention, or desire, let people know about it. Speak in clear terms and try not to beat around the bush. Being clear about what you want serves two purposes: 1. People can best act on your request when they understand it. 2. By opening up a dialogue you may learn other perspectives and approaches.
