Admit your mistakes.
Great post here from Blog Business World (via Seth Godin) on how we respond to mistakes. Check it out.
Dale Carnegie also acknowledged the importance of admitting our mistakes and then getting productively into action in his classic book, How to Win Friends and Influence People.

Good tip Lisa. This is one of the most important characteristics of a well-rounded manager. Even though it is tough to admit a mistake, it takes a lot of pressure off of trying to be perfect all the time. This is also important in personal relationships with family and close friends. Good friends will know the real you. By being honest about a mistake, your close friends and family will become even closer. Good tip.
