I just started reading Adrian Trenholm’s eclectic blog. Adrian is a communications expert and award winning public speaker residing just outside of London. He is also one of the bloggers for 173 Drury Lane.
In this post, called, Music isn’t a loaf of bread... and consulting ain’t stationary Adrian makes some very good points about the importance of open relationship building between clients and consultants.
I could not agree with Adrian more. As a consultant, you don’t hire me because of my content (even though I have some cool stuff). You hire me and all other consultants because of who I am and the collaborative relationship we have built. I also agree with Adrian that the best consultants help their clients get better and build capacity.
Check out Adrian’s blog. He is an interesting fellow who, in addition to business stuff and communication stuff (his passion and forte), is also into cooking, cycling and Toastmasters.
You can find a fascinating piece about how to make bread here. This is part one and we will all be waiting for part two to rise.
The doughy kind, not the spending kind (although they are linked, aren’t they..).
I see a theme here about bread.....I’m thinking Adrian bakes a mean bread.

Thank you very much for your kind words, Lisa. Did you bake all that yourself?

Actually, I am proud and happy to say that my husband is the bread baker in the family. I am not much of a cook!
