A couple of decades back I learned that I was a visual organizer. Things that were not in view simply did not exist. I had two choices. I could have developed elaborate (and probably technologically-assisted) follow up schemes. Or I could leave pretty much everything important in sight. I chose option B.

My office is an example of controlled clutter. There are project boxes filled with papers for projects I'm working on. Important folders sit in racks atop the desk. Cork bar are studded with pushpins that hold papers on things I need to remember in view.

I've learned that this is simply the way I get the most and most important stuff done.

Lisa - There is a story behind my name, but hey, I have to save the surprise for the conference! Thanks so much for the plug, and for those reading this great blog, do check us out - it's going to be a blast (and you WILL take your blog to the next level)! All the best.

OK, Starbucker, but if I buy you a vente triple shot latte will you tell me when I swing through your city on Hazel? Or perhaps you are more the Americano type....

I am sure the conference will be wonderful. I would like to take my blog to the next level (what is the next level?) - perhaps someone can tutor me after the conference.

Hi Lisa,
My favorites are the
"The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are." Very true. I enjoyed it!

and always I am a big fan of Rajesh posts :-)

Thank you for the wonderful links.

Sham - yes, that's my favorite line in the post too....
