Thank you for the terms "shibumi" and "perpetual team." The "perpetual team" concept and your description of the it are very inspiring.

Thanks for saying so. It's really worked miracles for us, so I'm more than happy to share. Hopefully, others will be inspired as well.

The real trick is finding tools and processes that allow you to sustain a Perpetual Team. In the software world, Scrum is the recommended tool, but I've heard that others have accomplished what I have using Six Sigma and even home-grown processes.

Of course, tools don't help everyone, because everyone doesn't realize what they need the tools to help them do.
