Comments

Lisa - stories connect best with me. Stories of brave leaders who have overcome obstacles, who've dreamed big, and faced HUGE dragons, and slayed them, giving credit to their team and their dream. That's what I like to hear about.

I like your key points too! They look like a keynote I would enjoy. Will you be sharing the slides on slideshare or is this private?

Phil - you are so right about the stories and I will be making these points with stories. Sure, I will share at some point (or a general version of it). Thanks for weighing in!

Lisa,
That looks FANTASTIC! Wow. I feel inspired to stay focused and get busy just reading the bullet points. I would really value this kind of a Keynote.
I have ideas and dreams and goals in my head, that connects my team to the challenges of the organization, but I seldom succeed in bringing them to reality. That is what attracts me about your points here. Not just think, or plan or prepare, but _how to_ get there.
Ultimately my vision is to help them be successful in terms of our larger vision. I am very interested in working on me so I can help my team move to success.
We have big challenges ahead of us, my team has big skills and big dreams, I need to lead big.
I think you are spot on here!

Mike - thanks for your feedback and energy - wow, I hope I have a bunch of folks like you at my presentation! I am thinking about videotaping it, and if I do, I will be sure to post it and share it.
